Zeolite – Clinoptilolite

Zeolite

Feed additive 1g 568, Functional group:

  • g - Binders
  • i - Anticaking agent

IDTF 30047

Clinoptilolite of sedimentary origin (natural zeolite) is an authorized feed additive from the category of technological additives (functional group g - Binders and i - Anticaking agents).

Efficacy in animal nutrition:

  • Efficient use of feed energy, improved weight gain and improved feed conversion rate.
  • Better buffering effect that stabilizes the pH of the digestive tract.
  • Significantly reduces ammonia concentration in the animal digestive tract and traps any occurring heavy metal ions.
  • Reduces odour and moisture of excrements.
  • Contributes to animal well-being in the stalls.

Efficacy in animal feed production and application:

  • Ensures dry and loose feed during storage and transportation.
  • Anti-caking effect - facilitates free-flowing feed without clumps during entire application process.
  • Zeolite binds mycotoxins in feed, therefore preventing contamination of feed with moulds and mycotoxins.
  • Chemically stable and inert to all important feed nutrients.

Production of premixes

Zeolite is suitable for use as a binder and carrier for production of premixes. The finished feed prepared on zeolite-based premix additionally acquires some beneficial properties of zeolite like free water and ammonia binding. This is thanks to the ion-exchange, reversible hydration and dehydration properties of zeolite.

Environment:

  • Zeolite reduces the release of ammonia into the environment.
  • Improves the environmental climate.
  • It has no negative impact on the environment (bio-waste, fertilizers with N content).
  • Improves animal welfare thanks to lowering moisture and binding ammonia.
