IDTF 40342

Sea mussel shells are a natural source of calcium with high solubility, good digestibility and above all slow release - thanks to which they are better absorbed compared to chalk or other sources of calcium.

They improve the development of bones and joints, especially in laying hens, significantly improve the quality of the eggshell, its hardness and the weight of the egg. They are a natural source of calcium, magnesium and trace elements.

In poultry nutrition they influence:

  • Better development of bones and joints
  • Significant improvement of quality and hardness of eggshell
  • Weight increase of the egg
  • Reduction of sternum fractures

It is used as an additional topping for feed “ad libitum”, or replaces 50% of the chalk in a compound feed.

In the nutrition of cattle, shells influence:

  • Reducing the risk of acidosis
  • Extended buffering capacity to stabilize rumen pH
  • Better utilization and feed efficiency

It is used in mineral mixtures, in feed supplements, compound feeds and premixes or "ad libitum".
